We had a swim party to celebrate our little man's birthday the Saturday before his big day.
He made sure he ate a healthy breakfast so that he was ready to party hard.
Since it was a swim party, we had cupcakes with fishy's. Thank you so much Camille for designing the cupcakes and helping me decorate them.
Here are some of our party animals. They did a great job of scaring everyone away, so we had the pool to ourselves.
Somehow I missed the picture of Ethan "trying" to blow out the candle. But he sure did love the cupcake.
And Morgan... she decided to relax on the love sac and watch a movie while Mommy and Daddy cleaned up.
August 23rd is Ethan's actual birthday, and was also my first day of school so we didn't get to go do anything fun that day. But that night we had Grandpa and Grandma Willis and Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Stephen, Buddy, and our friends Sean and Alicia over to celebrate. My bike was still sitting in our little hallway and apparently Ethan lost his balance and fell into the pedal. There are claims that Grandma pushed him, but they can't be verified.
He was fine until I put neosporin and a band-aid on his head. He apparently thought that he needed to put the neosporin on himself.
And of course, if Ethan has a band-aid, Morgan wants a band-aid too. I tried to take her band-aid off before bed and she wouldn't let me. I then tried the next morning before we went to the doctor for Ethan's 1 year check-up and she said "no". Of course, Dr. Curran was shocked to see both kids with band-aids until I told him the story. He then asked if he could take it off and see what was underneath and Morgan very politely, but sternly said, "no".
I guess we should have just given Ethan a piece of cake with the candle on it instead of the whole cake.
Ethan is such a joy and loves to play and eat and clap. He loves to tackle Morgan, which Morgan really enjoys. He has been such a blessing in our family and we are so grateful for him. Happy Birthday to our little man!!
