I'm surprised how happy they both look since I had to wake them both up at 6:30.
Unfortunately, I never did get a picture of our whole group before the walk, so this picture will have to do. Aunt Kathy is the one in purple holding Morgan's hand. If you look right in front of her you can see Jerri's white hat. The one in red and the fanny pack holding Morgan's hand is Sheryl. To the left of Sheryl, in the white visor is my grandma.
It didn't take the kids and I long to lose everyone. In a big crowd it's not too difficult. We walked over Tempe Town Lake and lets just say Morgan was very distracted by the boats and airplanes, so it did take us a bit longer than normal.
Ethan just enjoyed the ride and his goldfish. He even got his morning nap in.
Morgan did really well with the walk. She walked the whole 1st mile by herself. It did take us an hour and 20 mins, but she had fun. Then the second mile she decided she wanted her shoes off, and sat in the stroller. The 2nd mile took us 30 mins. The 3rd mile she decided to walk again. But she was starting to get tired, so half way over the bridge on Scottsdale Road she decided her toes hurt and she wanted to ride in the stroller again. The very last mile took us 50 mins. Overall, it took us 2 hrs and 40 mins and we had a great time.
Note to self for next year: wear shorts.

What a fun and supportive thing to do. Wish I had a car so I couldve went with ya. Breast cancer and Ovarian Cancer both run in my family. I would love to help support both causes one of these days. Hope your grandma is feeling better and she's kicking cancer's butt!!!!
GO GRANDMA!!!!!
That is so great that you guys were able to do the walk as a family. Morgan did great walking the whole first mile by herself!
I'm impressed that Morgan walked the entire first mile... way to go Morgan!!! That's awesome!
And how great that your grandma is cancer free! That's a scare thing. What a blessing to know it's behind her.
