Utah - Salt Lake (Part 3)

After watching General Conference and then "Mountain of the Lord", Morgan has wanted to see the Salt Lake Tempe and the conference center.  We took a trip up to Salt Lake with my parents, my sister, Leah and her three kids, and my sister Katie, and her husband Clayton.

Since we did have 5 children with us we did the short tour of the conference center.  So we headed up to the roof.

This Mural on top of the roof was amazing!  Since it's been 2 months since we've been there I don't remember exactly how the tour guide said they created the mural, but he said they sand blasted the granite away.  How exactly I don't remember, but it is very amazing.

Morgan was such a big helper in pushing Bentley around for us.  Unfortunately, they had the covers on the skylights since they Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcasts Music & The Spoken Word every Sunday so the conference center was really dark.  Not sure why they didn't turn the lights on, but we were at least able to see it a little bit.

After the tour we walked over to the temple.  They were renovating it at the time, so the front of the temple was blocked off which was a bummer.  But we did still end up getting pictures we just weren't able to get too close.

Afterwards we walked over to the City Creek Center for lunch.  The City Creek Center used to be the Crossroads Mall and the ZCMI Center and was turned into one huge shopping center.  The mall just opened in March and was packed!  And it is way nice compared to the two run down malls that were there.

Grandpa showed Morgan what you can use the Happy Meal boxes for after you eat your food.
Of course, Ethan wanted to try it out.
Of course Grandpa bought all the kiddos ice cream cones.
